How Softpad works, in one place.

Start here

What Softpad is

Softpad is a launchpad on Robinhood Chain where every new coin is priced in a soft commodity instead of in ether or dollars: a pound of coffee, a bushel of wheat, a dozen eggs, or eleven others. Launching is free apart from gas.

The other half is the farm. Stake $SOFTPAD, plant one of the same fourteen commodities, wait out its season, and bring the harvest in before it spoils. You can farm yourself, or let your muse, an AI agent with its own wallet, do it for you.

Most launchpads keep their cut of every trade. Ours goes to the holders.

Softpad takes 0.2% of every trade on the pad, takes it in food, and puts that food in the farm's barns. The farm pays its harvests out of those barns. The busier the pad, the more there is to harvest, and nothing is minted for it.

The Softpad homepage: the headline, the Launch a coin and Muse farm buttons, and the rail of commodities.
The homepage: the launch desk, the board of fourteen denominations, and the way into the farm.

The token

$SOFTPAD

$SOFTPAD is Softpad's own token, launched on Pons and trading against META. It is the seed the farm takes: stake it to farm the food Softpad's fees put in the barns.

$SOFTPAD The official contract address is on the homepage.

This address and the one on the homepage are the only official ones. Check any address you are given against them before you buy.

Three steps, one transaction

Launch a coin

Press Launch a coin on the homepage and connect a wallet on Robinhood Chain.

Step one

Pick your food

Anything on the board. Your coin is quoted in it for life.

Step two

Name it and launch

A name up to 32 characters and a ticker up to 10, both written into the token for good. Add a picture; it is pinned to IPFS.

Step three

Collect the fees

You set the fee, 1% to 10%, fixed forever. Softpad's 0.2% comes out of it and you keep the rest.

The terms

  • One billion tokens. Every one goes into the pool at launch except a millionth of one token, which stays in the factory so rounding inside Uniswap can never ask for more than there is.
  • A coin opens at about $5,000 of market cap.
  • The creator is handed no tokens. Nothing is set aside, vested or unlocked later. A creator who wants some buys them at the price everybody else pays, and there is an optional developer buy in ETH straight after launch.
  • The liquidity cannot be withdrawn by anyone. No function takes it back out, not for the creator and not for Softpad.
  • Softpad's 0.2% is a constant in the contract and cannot be raised. A 1% fee pays the creator 0.8% of every trade and Softpad 0.2%.
  • Every coin gets its own page at softpad.fun/c/ followed by its address, with a link to share.
  • Collecting fees: connect the wallet that launched the coin, open Tokens at the top of the homepage, and press Collect under Deployed. Fees are paid in both the coin and the food it is priced in.

Buying and selling

Trade a coin

On a coin's page, choose Buy or Sell. Buying spends ether, which becomes dollars, which become the food, which becomes the coin, all in one transaction. You never hold the two in the middle. Selling goes back the same way.

A round trip pays six fees, so expect to be about 4% down the moment you buy, the same as any pool.

Outside sites such as GMGN estimate a Softpad coin's dollar price themselves and can disagree with the coin's page. The pool is the real price, and the coin's page reads it straight from the pool. Every coin and denomination is listed at softpad.fun/tokenlist.json, in the format aggregators read.

What coins are priced in

The fourteen denominations

SymbolUnitGrade
  • Each one opened at the real price of its unit, from the futures market, except chicken and eggs, which have no futures contract and use the USDA national figures.
  • A denomination is a fixed unit, not commodity exposure. It stays near its opening price on purpose, so coins priced in it do not lurch about for reasons that have nothing to do with the coin. Buying COFFEE is not buying coffee.
  • A denomination cannot be sold below its opening price. There are no dollars in the pool underneath it, so there is nothing down there to sell into.
  • Each one trades against the dollar in its own pool. The board on the homepage shows them, and what any sum of dollars buys in each.

Stake, plant, wait, bring it in

The farm

The farm: a ladder of crops, each with its own season.
Every crop keeps its own clock and its own barn.

The loop

  1. Stake $SOFTPAD on softpad.fun/farm. One plot per wallet.
  2. Plant one crop. One crop at a time.
  3. Wait out its season, from an hour to a day depending on the crop.
  4. Harvest inside its window, the time after it ripens before it spoils. Leave it too long and it pays nothing.

How a crop pays

Each crop has a barn of food. When you plant, you are promised a share of what is free in that barn at that moment, meaning what it holds minus what is already promised to crops still in the ground. The promise is locked to your plot and nothing anybody does afterwards changes it.

  • A quiet crop pays better than a crowded one, because more of its barn is free.
  • More stake is always more, with no ceiling.
  • The barn cannot run out from under you. A promise is only made out of food nobody else has been promised.
  • Slow crops keep more. A plant and a harvest cost the same gas, about 178,000, whatever the crop, so a day long crop keeps far more of its harvest than a quick one.

The rules

  • You are paid on the least you had staked at any point while the crop was growing. Taking seed out mid growth shrinks the harvest for good, and putting it back does not lift it again.
  • Once the crop is ripe, the growing is done and unstaking costs nothing. Unstaking is always allowed.
  • The harvest is paid in the crop's own token, like CHICKEN or WHEAT. Sell crops on the farm page turns it back into ether: the food into dollars, the dollars into ether, two fees.
  • The barns are filled with food from Softpad's fees and stocked by the team as the farm grows. The farm page shows what is free in each barn right now.

A field your agent can work

Muses and agents

A muse is an AI agent with a wallet of its own on Robinhood Chain. Many live on musebook, a town of agents, and a muse made with musestock gets its own wallet when it is created. Any AI agent with a wallet can farm the same way.

  1. Give it a wallet of its own, never yours. Send it a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas and some $SOFTPAD to stake, only what you would shrug at losing.
  2. Give it the skill. softpad.fun/skill.md is everything it needs: how a crop pays, what gas costs, the farm's address and every call. Paste it into its instructions, or give it the address if it can read the web.
  3. Watch it work. Its plot shows up on the field with its address on the sign, and everything it does goes in the ledger.

Power it with Orbio. A muse needs an AI model to think with. Orbio sells exactly that for $CREDIT on Robinhood Chain: one key for Claude, GPT, Gemini and the rest. An agent can buy its own $CREDIT and sign in with its own wallet.

The assistant in the corner

Softie

Softie, Softpad's assistant, giving a thumbs up.

Softie is Softpad's assistant, the face in the bottom corner of every page. Ask it how launching, trading or the farm works. It answers from the site's own facts and the farm's live list of crops, and it runs on Claude through Orbio.

Softie can be wrong and it is never advice. It will never ask for your private key or seed phrase, and nothing on Softpad ever will.

The liquidity in every pool is owned by the factory, which has no function that takes it back out. The router and the farm are the replaceable pieces and own nothing. Softpad's own contracts, the factory, the minter, the router and the farm, are verified on Sourcify.

Before you trade

  • A coin launched here has whatever value people pay for it and may have none. Nobody is vetted.
  • A round trip pays fees both ways, so expect to be down the moment you buy.
  • Nothing here is advice, and a transaction sent to the chain cannot be taken back.
  • Softpad never holds your coins or your money. Your wallet signs every transaction.
  • Never share your private key or seed phrase. Nothing legitimate needs it: not Softpad, not a muse, not a form.
  • Official news comes from softpad.fun and @softpad_fun. Treat a direct message offering support, an airdrop or a claim page as a scam.
